SUNDAY SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
Function
This department takes care of teaching specific topics aided by the Church manual. The Sunday School Department is the teaching arm of the church. The main responsibility of the department is to teach members the biblical doctrines as set out in the guidelines of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s “Directorate of Christian Education”. This involves making use of the Bible, Sunday school manuals and other tools to effectively treat the weekly topics. The goals of the department include: (a) to instill through the teaching of the Word, the authority and integrity of God’s Word in the lives of individuals, (b) to be an effective avenue for imparting knowledge and enhancing understanding of God’s Word; thereby helping members to grow in their faith, (c) to raise disciples who will integrate the Word of God back into the society.

TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT
Function
The Transportation Department ensures safe, reliable, and timely transportation for members of the community attending church programs. The team coordinates pickups and drop-offs to help individuals arrive comfortably and punctually. Transportation requests can be made via WhatsApp, text message, or phone call.
PRAYER BAND DEPARTMENT
Function
The Prayer Band Department is devoted to interceding for the church, its members, and upcoming programs. It oversees daily prayer sessions and mobilizes intercessors to stand in the gap for God’s people. The team encourages both personal and corporate prayer, fostering a culture of faith and spiritual warfare. Through steadfast prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the department actively resists the works of the enemy and empowers others to do the same.
TEENAGER FELLOWSHIP
Function
The Teenager Fellowship is dedicated to guiding and nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and social growth of the church’s teenagers. This department provides a safe and engaging environment where teens can explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop strong Christian values. Through age-appropriate teachings, mentorship, and interactive programs, the fellowship equips teenagers to live boldly for Christ and navigate life’s challenges with wisdom and purpose.
FOLLOW UP DEPARTMENT
Function
The Follow-Up Department is responsible for reaching out to new guests and recent converts, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and connected to the church community. Through personal check-ins, encouragement, and ongoing communication, the team helps individuals take their next steps in faith and remain engaged in their spiritual journey.
FIRST TIMER/NEW COVERT DEPARTMENT
Function
This department is dedicated to welcoming and nurturing new believers. It provides counseling, spiritual guidance, and foundational teaching to help new converts grow in their relationship with Christ. Through intentional support and discipleship, the team ensures that each individual is equipped to begin their faith journey with confidence and clarity.
PROTOCOL DEPARTMENT
Function
The Protocol Department is responsible for hosting guest ministers and supporting the presiding pastor. It coordinates with external vendors to ensure all invited ministers feel welcomed and comfortable. Responsibilities include arranging hotel accommodations, managing airport pickups and drop-offs, and providing hospitality throughout the guests’ stay until their departure.
WORKER MEETING/BELIEVER CLASS DEPARTMENT
Function
This department serves as the Ministry School of the church, providing foundational teaching and spiritual training. It oversees the New Believer Class, Workers-in-Training sessions, and other church seminars designed to equip members for service and growth. Additionally, the department coordinates baptismal activities, guiding candidates through preparation and ensuring the process reflects the church’s commitment to discipleship.
COUNSELLING DEPARTMENT
Function
The Counseling Department provides spiritual guidance, emotional support, and biblical teaching to new converts as they grow in their walk with Christ. It also offers counsel on family matters, marriage, and other personal challenges, helping individuals navigate life with wisdom, healing, and faith-based solutions. Through compassionate listening and prayerful advice, the department fosters restoration and growth within the church community.
EVANGELISM DEPARTMENT
Function
The Evangelism Department is committed to winning souls for Christ and fulfilling the church’s highest calling—the Great Commission. Empowered by the words of Jesus to “go and make disciples,” the team reaches out with compassion to those who are lost, hurting, and in need of hope. Through community outreach and personal witness, this department seeks to restore the spiritually wounded, uplift the discouraged, and reveal the transformative love and purpose God has for every life.
IT (WEBSITE) DEPARTMENT
Function
This department manages the church’s online presence, ensuring the website is up-to-date, functional, and engaging. It promotes upcoming programs and events by creating digital awareness and uploading relevant content such as announcements and photos. The department also supports other church activities by providing technical assistance and maintaining digital platforms that enhance communication and outreach.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Function
The Music Department exists to lead God’s people in heartfelt worship, expressing reverence, gratitude, and adoration to the Living God. It oversees all musical aspects of the church, including songs, choruses, and worship sessions.
Rooted in the belief that the primary purpose of man is to worship his Creator, the team creates an atmosphere of praise through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, using Bible-based music that uplifts and transforms lives.
With total commitment to worship as our reasonable service to Jesus Christ—our Lord and Savior who gave His life for us—the department aims to draw hearts closer to God and usher in His presence during every gathering.

PUBLICATION DEPARTMENT
Function
This department is responsible for producing and distributing the church’s printed and digital materials, including magazines and monthly newsletters. This team ensures that content is timely, engaging, and reflective of the church’s mission and activities. Through creative writing, editing, and design, the department keeps the congregation informed, inspired, and connected to ongoing programs and spiritual teachings.
MEDIA/TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT
Function
The Media and Technical Department is responsible for capturing and distributing church content through various formats. This includes recording all sermons and special programs in audio and video, producing CDs, and managing the sale of Christian books, Sunday School manuals, and other faith-based materials. The department also oversees photography during services and events, and handles the projection of Bible verses, hymns, and multimedia presentations to enhance worship and engagement.
EVENTS PLANNER DEPARTMENT
Function
The Events Planner Department is responsible for coordinating all upcoming church events, including special services such as the First Sunday Thanksgiving. The team works closely with the Finance Department to ensure proper planning, hospitality, and logistics —especially in areas like feeding, designs and program flow. Their goal is to create seamless, spirit-filled experiences that reflect the excellence and order of God’s house.
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Function
The Finance Department is responsible for managing all financial activities of the church, including the collection of tithes, offerings, thanksgiving donations, and other monetary contributions. The team ensures proper documentation and banking of funds, prepares detailed collection reports for accounting and audit purposes, and verifies that all envelopes contain necessary information.
In addition to its operational duties, the department serves in an advisory capacity on financial matters and upholds a spiritual commitment by praying for both givers and those unable to give. It also intercedes for the faithful stewardship and administration of church resources. The department includes two key subsidiaries: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, which handle outgoing and incoming financial transactions respectively.
Account Payable
Function
The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the general operation of the Finance department by performing a variety of tasks related to accounts payable for CRM; such as issuing checks for financial obligations, processing expense reports, verifying financial data and maintaining accounts payable records. The Accounts Payable Clerk also assists with other accounting functions as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks
- Distributes signed checks as required
- Answers all vendor inquiries
Staff Payables
- Receives and audits ministry expense reports
- Communicates with staff regarding their expense reports
- Accurately codes and processes for payment
General
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
- Assists corporate officers and personnel as necessary
- Prepares cleared checks for storage
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
- Performs filing and coping
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Independent Contractor Payables
- Receives invoices for contractor payments
- Ensures appropriate documentation is obtained prior to payment
- Prepares 1099 forms at year end
Account Receivable
The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the general operations of the Finance department by performing a variety of tasks related to the receipt of financial donations. The Clerk is responsible for maintaining the accounts receivable records for the organization; such as processing incoming funds, preparing donor receipts, data entry, and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect and sort incoming mails
- Accurately process and record daily accounts receivables
- Code, input and balance credit card and direct debit transactions
- Scan pledge cards
- Maintain deposit records spreadsheet
- Remove inactive staff funds and recurring gifts
- Accurately prepare and mail receipts and accompanying inserts to the respective financial partners
- Process incoming cash and prepare cash batches monthly
- Prepare, process and review daily scanned bank deposits
- Research financial partner issues for the Partner Development Team
- Process NSFs, distribution changes, refunds, duplicate receipts, and various other donation corrections
- Prepare and appropriately distribute monthly reports
- Provide guidance and supervision to Volunteers
- Accurately maintain donor database and accounts receivable document files, ensuring confidentiality of ministry partner information
Other Responsibilities
- Handle the change of address and emailing staff notifications
- Back up support to others in the Finance Department

CHILDREN’S DEPARTMENT
Function
The Children’s Department is dedicated to the care and spiritual development of children ages 1 to 12 during Sunday morning services. It provides a nurturing and engaging environment where young hearts are introduced to the principles and Word of God through age-appropriate teachings, biblical stories, and relatable characters. Children participate in joyful worship through songs, scripture memorization, and interactive lessons designed to help them grow in faith and love for Jesus.
USHERING/GREETERS DEPARTMENT
Function
The Ushering and Greeters Department plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and orderly worship experience. This team organizes the congregation during services, collects and counts offerings, maintains service statistics, and ensures that every guest receives a warm and heartfelt welcome. As the first point of contact, ushers embody the love of Christ and set the tone for the church environment.
Ushers are entrusted with providing timely information to members and visitors, preparing the sanctuary for worship, and serving with integrity and humility. They are spiritually mature individuals, rooted in the Word of God and committed to serving not for recognition, but as faithful servants of Christ.

HOUSE FELLOWSHIP DEPARTMENT
Function
The House Fellowship Department organizes small group gatherings in various neighborhoods, typically held in the evenings after church services. These fellowships provide a more intimate setting for worship, Bible study, prayer, and community building. By meeting in different areas, the department ensures that members can connect, grow spiritually, and support one another in their walk with Christ—right within their local communities.
WELFARE/HOSPITALITY/HR DEPARTMENT
Function
This department is committed to caring for the physical, emotional, and social needs of the church congregation. It provides support to members who are new to the area, helping them acclimate to their environment and connect with helpful resources both within and outside the church. The team ensures that guest pastors and ministers are well cared for during their visit, offering warm hospitality and logistical support.
Beyond welcoming and settling members, the department also addresses welfare needs, organizes hospital visitations, and conducts outreach programs in healthcare and community facilities. With a heart for service, the team fosters a culture of compassion, connection, and Christ-like care throughout the church family.
WOMEN FELLOWSHIP DEPARTMENT
Function
The Women Fellowship of RCCG House of Prayer Parish is a vibrant community of married women and mature ladies, united by the vision to be “united through love.” This department is committed to nurturing women in every area of life—spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially, mentally, and socially—while drawing them closer to God.
Through fellowship, mentorship, and purposeful programs, the department equips women to positively influence their homes, marriages, and communities. It provides a safe space for growth, encouragement, and spiritual empowerment, helping each woman fulfill her God-given potential.
MENS FELLOWSHIP DEPARTMENT
Function
The Men’s Fellowship of RCCG House of Prayer Parish is a vibrant community of married and mature men committed to spiritual growth, leadership, and service. This department provides a platform for men to gather in fellowship, share wisdom, and strengthen one another through discussions, prayer, and impactful programs. Their mission is to inspire godly leadership in the home, church, and society.

This fellowship is made up of a passionate generation committed to living by God’s laws and principles, with a vision to raise a generation of Issachar—spiritually discerning leaders who positively influence their city and community.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by young adults and singles today, Y.A.S.F provides a safe and empowering environment where members can share, grow, and sharpen one another. Through a variety of soul-lifting, inspirational, educative, and informative programs held throughout the year, the fellowship equips individuals to thrive spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

DRAMA DEPARTMENT
Function
The Drama Department ministers the Word of God through powerful and engaging dramatic presentations. Inspired by Jesus’ use of parables to convey deep spiritual truths, this group uses audio-visual storytelling—drama, plays, recitations, and dance—to communicate the gospel in ways that resonate across all ages, cultures, and backgrounds.
Their mission is to bring the message of the cross to life, making it accessible and relatable to everyone, regardless of denomination or belief. Through Spirit-led creativity, the department transforms biblical truths into compelling performances that inspire, convict, and draw hearts closer to God.
