MY MONTH TO EXPERIENCE JEHOVAH JIREH
By Deaconess Abimbola Daramola –
You are welcome to the month of February 2023, our month of “Jehovah Jireh – God my
Provider”. We bless God for his faithfulness in January, our month of Double Jubilation. God
proved Himself in our lives strong and mighty. He made a way where there seemed to be no way;
He miraculously healed our sicknesses; He gave immigration breakthroughs to many; He lifted
our heads in our careers, academics, businesses, and spiritual development. We thank God and say
congratulations to our minister who had an immigration breakthrough and the three ministers who
were approved for ordination. To God alone be all the glory for all the wonderful things He did
and is doing in our midst. Hallelujah!!!
Our prophecy, Jehovah Jireh, is from Genesis 22:14, “And Abraham called the name of that place
Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.” I pray that in this
month of February, we will all walk with the Jehovah Jireh to attain what He has for us in every
facet of life in Jesus’ name – amen. May we all experience divine provision in Jesus’ name – amen.
As we all know, Jehovah Jireh means God, the Provider or The God who provides. That is who
our God is. He meets our needs, He attends to us, He provides for us. He does not leave us helpless.
That is the God we serve. Consequently, in this month of Jehovah Jireh, God is requiring more
from you. He needs you to believe in Him and obey His Words completely.
In Genesis 17:1-2, God appeared to Abram and said, “… walk before me, and be thou perfect. And
I will make my covenant between me and thee and will multiply thee exceedingly.” All that God
required of Abram was for him to walk before Him, to believe in Him totally, and be righteous,
then He will multiply him exceedingly. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of
God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” Our obedience to follow
God with the whole of our heart will led us to enjoy God’s provision. Jesus told Peter, “Follow
me, and I will make you fishers of men” – Matthew 4:19.
Brethren, God want you to have faith in Him and to make Him your only source. Father Abraham
exercised a strong faith in God by obeying His word to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac, as a burnt
offering unto God. Few lessons to learn from Father Abraham in Genesis 22:

  1. In verse 3, Abraham did not hesitate to follow the instructions of God. “And Abraham rose
up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and
Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the
place of which God had told him.”
  2. In verse 5, Abraham believed that God would prove Himself as the great provider. He told
the 2 young men, “Abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder and worship
and come again to you.” He believed that he would return with Isaac without any doubt.
  3. In verse 8, Abraham told his son that God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering
when his son questioned him about the lamb for the sacrifice. He knew that God would
    show up for him.
  4. In verse 13, indeed, God showed up as Jehovah Jireh by miraculously providing a ram for
the burnt sacrifice instead of Isaac.
  5. As a result of Abraham’s faith and obedience, we are partaker of his blessing through our
Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 17-18, “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will
multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore
and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. And in thy seed shall all the nations of
the earth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO ENJOY GOD AS YOUR JEHOVAH JIREH
  6. Accept Him into your life as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9
  7. Abstain from every appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22-23
  8. Have faith in Him alone. 2 Chronicles 20:20
  9. Serve Him with the whole of your heart. Luke 10:27
  10. Get closer to God, by daily communicating with Him by prayer and studying his Word.
EXAMPLE OF PEOPLE THAT HAD FAITH IN GOD AND EXPERIENCED GOD AS
    JEHOVAH JIREH
  11. Father Abraham. Genesis 22:1-18
  12. Elijah and the widow of Zarephath. 1 Kings 17: 7-16
  13. Elisha and the wife of the sons of the prophets. 2 Kings 4: 1-7
  14. Peter instructed by Jesus to cast a hook and get money out of the first fish. Matt. 17:
    24-27
  15. Mary at the marriage in Cana of Galilee. John 2: 1-10
  16. Jesus fed about 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fishes. John 6: 1-12
Brethren, hang unto God alone. Believe in Him and He will prove Himself to you as Jehovah Jireh,
“But my God shall supply ALL your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” God
is more than able to do all things because He owns all things, and He is ready to beautify your life.
I see Jehovah Jireh working miracles concerning that situation and turning things around for your
good. Be expectant and wait on Him. Believe that He can do all things. Obey His Words, serve
Him and love Him far more than before. Live right before Him, abstain from sin, and be thankful
    to Him always.
I cannot wait to celebrate God’s faithfulness with you in this month and beyond. God bless you
abundantly in Jesus’ name – amen. Happy New Month and enjoy the faithfulness of Jehovah Jireh.
