January 2019 News Letter – My Month of Gladness

Happy New Year, family. I am glad to see that we all made it into a new year. We are grateful to God for this. We never would have made it without Him. All glory to God. The prophesy for the month of January is the month of gladness. Gladness means a feeling of joy, blessedness, happiness, high spirit and pleasure. Psalm 45:7 (KJV) says “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellow.” The Bible make it clear that the Lord has anointed us with gladness above our fellows. The Message translation says that God is “Marking you out as king from among your dear companions”. In 2019, God wants you to know that He has selected you among your peers, contemporaries, companions or mates. And He has anointed you with an oil of gladness and joy. This means you will be filled with Spirit of God which is the Spirit of Joy. You will be marked for honor. You would find favor and honor wherever you go. You will stand out as king amongst your mates and reign over the power of the enemy because God has anointed you. However, it is important to know from the text that the reason God anointed you and I is because “we love righteousness and hate wickedness” -Psalm 45:7a. Hence, an important take away from this is that to sustain God’s oil of gladness and honor on our lives, we need to love righteousness and hate wickedness. The Bible says in Galatians 6:7: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” It also says in Isaiah 3:10-11: Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” Hence, choose wisely. Love righteousness and the Lord God will certainly mark you out for honor, joy, favor, blessedness, pleasure, prosperity and glory in Jesus name. Amen. You will be a king among your peers, marked with authority over your peers and most importantly, over the kingdom of darkness. You have the anointing of God upon your life.
