MY MONTH OF DIVINE PROTECTION

by Pastor Olusogo Daramola

You are welcome to the month of June and Happy New Month to all HOP families. Thank God for  the grace to see another month. I pray for you in this month of June and beyond that you will  experience divine protection in this month of June in Jesus’ mighty name – amen!

We thank God for His faithfulness in the last month May – our month of Divine Honor. God proved  Himself and honored his people both locally and internationally. We appreciate God for the  virtuous women retreat and Mother’s Day program in the month of May – all our mothers were refreshed during the retreat 2024. The leadership of the church would like to seize this opportunity  to thank all the members who came on Saturday for the monthly cleaning. May the good Lord bless and reward you in Jesus’ name – amen.

The prophecy for the month of June is “Our Month of Divine Protection.”. Psalm 37:40 says, “And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save  them, because they trust in him.” May we all walk in God’s divine protection in Jesus’ name – amen!

FEW FACTS AND BENEFIT OF DIVINE PROVISION

1. The more you know Jesus, the more protection and security is available for you. 2. Coming to Jesus Christ gives you victory over fear day and nighttime. 3. Salvation is the first step to divine protection.

4. Following Jesus provides you adequate security anywhere you find yourself. 5. You become more than conqueror as a believer.

6. Knowing Jesus and following Him would enable you to confront your fear and cast it away. 7. Following Jesus would guarantee you and protect you in the midst of storm.

SHORT STORY ABOUT OUR FATHER IN THE LORD (PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE)

At a point in his life before he became a believer, daddy was very afraid. According to him,  someone took him to a witch doctor for protection from the enemies. The witch doctor made a  charm and instructed him to tie it to his steering wheel in his car. The charm would supposedly  protect him from evil spirits and sudden accidents. To daddy’s surprise, contrary to the objective  of the charm of protection, he had three fatal accidents in that car. Not thinking any further, daddy  decided to go for Jesus, the solid and divine protection which is still his help till now. Do you not  see that Jesus’ power is the only superpower. Are you looking for power outside of Jesus today?  Please desist, Jesus’ power is the only power on which we can depend.

HOW DO I EXPERIENCE DIVINE PROTECTION

1. Believe in the Lord Jesus.

2. Run away from sin.

3. Have faith in God.

4. Believe in the anointing.

In conclusion, to experience God’s divine protection, you must make Jesus your Lord and personal Savior. Believe in His protection for you regardless of what you are going through. Without Jesus,  there is no protection. Come back to Him today, tomorrow may be too late. Draw close to Him and  He will draw close to you.

As we step into the prophecy of June 2024, walk hand in hand with God to attain your divine  protection. God is out there to bless you more than you can think or imagine. In this season of  “divine protection,” may the Lord God bless and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you  and be gracious unto you and lift His countenance upon you and give you peace in Jesus’ name.  Amen. Welcome to June 2024, our month of “Divine Protection” and remain in the atmosphere of  miracle.

HEALTH AWARENESS

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the demands of life. A small amount of  stress can be good, motivating you to perform well. But many challenges daily, such as sitting in  traffic, meeting deadlines and paying bills, can push you beyond your ability to cope.

Your brain comes hard-wired with an alarm system for your protection. When your brain perceives  a threat, it signals your body to release a burst of hormones that increase your heart rate and raise  your blood pressure. This “fight-or-flight” response fuels you to deal with the threat.

Once the threat is gone, your body is meant to return to a normal, relaxed state. Unfortunately, the  nonstop complications of modern life and its demands and expectations mean that some people’s  alarm systems rarely shut off.

Stress management gives you a range of tools to reset and to recalibrate your alarm system. It can  help your mind and body adapt (resilience). Without it, your body might always be on high alert.  Over time, chronic stress can lead to serious health problems.

STRESS SYMPTOMS: EFFECTS ON YOUR BODY AND BEHAVIOR

Stress symptoms may be affecting your health, even though you might not know it. You may blame  sickness for that annoying headache, your sleeping troubles, feeling unwell or your lack of focus  at work. But stress may really be the cause.

COMMON EFFECTS OF STRESS

Stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Knowing  common stress symptoms can help you manage them. Stress that’s not dealt with can lead to many  health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity and diabetes.

On your body On your mood On your behavior
Headache Anxiety Overeating or undereating
Muscle tension or pain Restlessness Angry outbursts
Chest pain Lack of motivation or focus Drug or alcohol misuse
Fatigue Memory problems Change in sex drive
Change in sex drive Feeling overwhelmed Avoiding friends and  staying at home
Stomach upset Grumpiness or anger Exercising less often
Sleep problems Sadness or depression Getting sick easier due to a  weaker immune system

ACT TO MANAGE STRESS

If you have stress symptoms, taking steps to manage your stress can have many health benefits.  Check out many possible stress management tips. For example:

• Get regular physical activity on most days of the week.

• Practice relaxation techniques. Try deep breathing, meditation, yoga, tai chi or  massage.

• Keep a sense of humor.

• Spend time with family and friends.

• Set aside time for hobbies. Read a book, listen to music or go for a walk. Schedule time  for your passions.

• Write in a journal.

• Get enough sleep.

• Eat a healthy, balanced diet.

• Stay away from tobacco and alcohol use, and use of illegal substances. • Aim to find active ways to manage your stress. Idle ways to manage stress that don’t  get you moving may seem relaxing. But they may make your stress go up over time.  Examples are watching television, going on the internet or playing video games.

WHEN TO ASK FOR HELP

If you’re not sure if stress is the cause, or if you’ve taken steps to control your stress but you keep  having symptoms, see your health care provider. Your health care provider may want to check for  other potential causes. Or think about seeing a counselor or therapist, who can help you find the  sources of your stress and learn new coping tools. And if you are concerned about harming  yourself, call 911 or a suicide hotline.
