…Divine Grace
I welcome you all to this New Month, May 2019. Thanks to the Almighty God for counting us worthy to be among the living souls. April was our month of divine mercy where we experienced the mercy of the Lord. By prophecy, May is the “Month of Divine Grace”. I pray for you, what your strength could not do, divine grace will make it possible in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
2 Corinthians 12:9 says: “And he says unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness, Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
What is grace?
Grace is unmerited favor and mercy of God. Grace can take you from ordinary to extra-ordinary. Lazarus encountered this grace. Even though he was dead, he became a living soul again.
Paul in his letter to the Corinthians, in 1 Corinthians 1:15 says, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain.” If your life has been experiencing all forms of challenges and storms, I have good news for you – you need to step into divine grace. You need the power of grace; I mean divine grace to get to your place of destiny. Are you believing God for a husband, wife, child, job, immigration status change, healing, salvation or academic success? Divine grace is the answer and solution to all the struggles in your life. I am an evidence and product of divine grace. According to human plans and opinions, I should be either a shoemaker or a bus conductor in a city in Nigeria, but His divine grace took me to my place of destiny. God can do the same for you today only if you can step into that grace of God.
What is the meaning of Grace?
Divine grace means God choosing to bless us rather than curse us, as our sin deserves. It is His benevolence to the underserving. Many heroes of faith experienced the same divine grace in the Bible. They include Paul; Enoch; David; Joseph; Samuel; Elijah; Elizabeth, Mary, Peter, Moses, Esther and Our Lord Jesus. etc.
What are those things that could deny you of divine grace?
1. Sin – Romans 6:1-2
2. Lies
3. Unforgiveness and bitterness
4. Fornication and adultery
5. Disobedient to Holy Spirit
6. Unfaithfulness
How to maintain your stand in God’s divine Grace.
There is another level you should consider in connecting to divine grace
1. Always stay in God’s presence daily.
2. Living a life of holiness and purity.
3. Study the word of God on a daily basis.
4. Live a life of prayer.
5. Keep the fire of God burning in your life.
Hence, it is essential to note that as we are in the month of divine grace, we should continually strive to live a holy life so that God’s spirit and indwelling does not depart from us. It is my prayer that we shall forever be connected to God’s divine grace in Jesus name – Amen!
Shalom!
