Welcome to Redeemed Christian Church of God – House of Prayer Parish, Shakopee – Minnesota an abode of peace, love and joy.
Praise the Lord! I bless the lord almighty for this glorious month of September 2017.
It is a glorious month for us in RCCG – HOPS (House of Prayer Shakopee) because all limitations hindering us from fulfilling destiny have been removed within and during the 21 days fasting and prayer program held in August 2017. Members have testified about the breakthroughs and miracles during and after the program and we shall experience more in this glorious month in Jesus name – Amen.
‘Possessing Your Possession’ is the prophecy for September 2017. All limitations and hindrances has been removed and replaced with open doors, promotions, unlimited breakthroughs and peace that flows like the river.
Obadiah 1:17 – “But upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance and there be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possession”.
Since, we are the descendants of Jacob, it is mandatory for us to possess our possessions. Possessing our possessions is in varying degrees and it varies from our individual needs, wants and expectations. It may that miracle job, house, life partner, fruit of the womb, financial breakthrough, good health etc.
After the death of Moses, God told Joshua to take over the leadership of the people of Israel. Joshua 1:1-3: “Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spoke unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
The land was possessed through the godly and divine led leadership of Joshua. He was able to achieve this, through God’s instructions and guidance. We should stop being complacent in Zion and let us awake to the clarion call of taking authority and possessing that which rightfully belongs to us because all power has been given unto us.
Mathew 28:18 (KJV): 18 and Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth.
There are several hindrances that halt us from possessing that which rightfully belongs to us and amongst such are:
- Children of Anakims: Joshua 11:21 – “And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities”. These group of people are everywhere and they should be prayerfully uprooted from our lives so that we can possess our possessions just like the children of Israelites did.
- The Red Sea (Exodus 14): Red sea could stand for anything hindering us from possessing our ‘Cannan land’. It comes in various degrees and levels – almighty God will part every ‘Red Sea’ in our lives in Jesus name – Amen! Exodus 14:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.”
- Household/Family members: “…And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” (Matt. 10:36 KJV) There have been several cases and scenarios of family members standing as a barrier to reaching one’s goal in life. We should be aware and highly sensitive about this as the lord almighty gives us discerning spirit to know the one that sincerely loves us in Jesus name – Amen! Psalm 119:66 – Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments. Hebrews 5:14: – But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
- Fear: Past negative experiences has so much engulfed our hearts that it hinders us from possessing our possessions. The spirit of fear pops up at the edge of breakthrough which serves as a form of doubt to that which God will do in our lives.
NUGGETS TO POSSESSING OUR POSSESSIONS
- Wisdom -You need wisdom to possess your possession – Hosea 4:6, Ecclesiastes 10:10
- Patient/Perseverance – Ephesians 4:2, 2 Peter 3:9, Psalm 86:15
- God’s name – Proverb 18:10, 1 John 5:5, 1 John 5:13
- Hard work – James 2:26, Ecclesiastes 4:10, Proverbs 13:4
- Faith – 1 Timothy 6:12, Mathew 17:20, Galatians 3:22
- Spirit of unity – Family, Church or Nation all needs unity and harmony to possess their possessions – Nehemiah 4:6, I Corinthians 1:10, Ephesians 4:11 – 13, Amos 3:3
God’s word admonishes us to be of good courage that Christ has overcome the world for us. There may be battles but we should never give in for we are more than conquerors. – Romans 8:37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Remember, Mathew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.

Testimony
I want to thank God for the month of August which by prophecy was our month of no more limitations. During the 21 days fasting and prayer, God healed the lump in my head. Praise the Lord! Grandma C. Daramola
HYMN
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;
Join me in glad adoration!
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires all have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee,
Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
If with His love He befriend thee.
Praise to the Lord! Oh, let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him!
Let the Amen sound from His people again;
Gladly for aye we adore Him.
Easy Resolutions to Improve Your Marriage.
1. Start a couple’s devotion – Spouses who practice and experience their faith at home together through shared devotions enjoy higher levels of success in their marriages. This does not have to be formal, long, or drawn out. Start simple with brief daily or weekly devotionals that include a time of prayer combined with reading and discussing God’s Word. Do not wait until you find the perfect devotional aid – just start with your Bible and prayer! If you have, kids include them and make it a family devotion.
2. Schedule a regular date night – For most couples, life can be busy and hectic. It is easy and common to allow the grind of daily schedules to interfere with time spent alone as husband and wife. Do not let this happen! If you are waiting for a natural break in your schedule to present itself this will likely never happen. The only way to ensure that you and your mate spend time together is to schedule it and make it a priority. You do not have to get expensive or elaborate every time, but you should endeavor to make each time special and meaningful.
To be continue next Month.
