OCTOBER, MY MONTH OF SUSTAINING POWER

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the month of October, the tenth month of the year 2022! In
this new month, you will experience special miracles from God in Jesus’ mighty name – Amen.
Last month, our month of abundance, was full of God’s goodness. We had testimonies of new
homes, career advancements, healing from all manner of diseases and family settlement. We also
thank God for Sis. Akuben Azi Adisa’s immigration breakthrough as she is now a citizen of this
great nation. I would like to specially thank God for preserving everyone’s life till this day. Despite
the enemy’s plans, God made us escape and preserved our souls. “Our soul is escaped as a bird
out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.” – Psalm 124:7.
By prophecy, this is our month of “Sustaining Power”. Psalms 68:35 (TLB) says, “What awe we
feel, kneeling here before Him in the sanctuary. The God of Israel gives strength and mighty power
to his people. Blessed be God”. I pray God will give strength to everyone here in Jesus’ name –
amen!
The beautiful thing about life is that we all get a fair share of good and bad. Life can be hard and
sometimes; we have no strength to go further. The journey ahead might seem even more difficult.
Nonetheless, I would like to let you know that this is not new to our era alone. Moses and the
Israelites felt this same way when they reached the Red Sea (Exodus 14:11-14). Jephthah felt the
same when he was called a bastard with no inheritance (Judges 11:2). Hannah had a fair share of
this when she was barren and disrespected by her counterpart (1 Samuel 1). Samson lost it all when
he chose a strange woman (Judges 16:30). Gideon was chosen by God against the enemies of God
and his father’s house (Judges 6:12). Isaac fought battles in Gerar when he ought to be enjoying
his harvest and well.
However, one thing is constant with all these heroes, they had a power bigger than their obstacles.
That power sustained them to the very end. This is the power of God. I pray God’s sustaining
power over your situation in Jesus’ name. Amen.
SUSTAINING POWER
In Isaiah 40:30-31, the Bible says, “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men
shall utterly fall but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Sustaining power is the ability to connect to God’s capacity to deal with every struggle of your
life. Sustaining power means you may be weak and at your lowest now in the journey of life, but
God’s ability and capacity is available to keep you going. Knowing very well that it is not by
power nor by might. Remember by strength shall no man prevail. God’s sustain power is available
to see you in whatever situation you are.
HOW TO FACE LIFE’S STRUGGLES WITH GOD’S SUSTAINING POWER

  1. Remember God is your battle axe. Jeremiah 51:20-26
  2. Be empowered by God to fight. Psalm 18:34-36
  3. Be ready to fight in the name of the Lord. 1 Samuel 17:45
  4. Hold fast to the word of God. Jesus said it is written. Matt. 4:10
  5. Use the authority in the name of Jesus to rebuke the storm. Phil. 2:10
  6. Believe in the anointing. Isaiah 10:27
Accessing the sustaining power of God can only be done by knowing who He is. We know the
Father through the Son, Jesus Christ. To be able to build your anchor on God who never fails, you
need to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior. Please, come to Him today, tomorrow may
be too late. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you.
As you continue in this month of Sustaining Power, go out daily knowing very well that God is on
your side. He will fight your battles for you. He will uphold you. He will strengthen you when you
are weak, and He will defend you against the storms of life. You are not alone. You have the All
Mighty on your side. So, be strong and of a good courage. Neither be dismayed. For the Lord, your
God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 Remain in the atmosphere of miracles.
