My Month of Rain
You are welcome to the month of May, the 5th month in the year 2021. In this month of May, you
will experience miracles, open doors, open heavens, fruitfulness and unprecedented signs,
wonders, and good surprises on every side in Jesus mighty name – Amen!
Last month was our month of “Triumph”. It was a month full of all kind challenges both locally
and internationally, but God secured our lives. I would like to specially thank God for preserving
everyone’s life till this day. Still in the attitude of gratitude, it is with great honor I welcome you
all to the month of May after escaping the disaster and tragedy on Coronavirus in our nation. We
also would like to appreciate God for all the people He has used to support the church and the well
of Jacob project in the past months. May the Lord reward you and supply all your needs according
to His riches in glory.
The prophesy for the month of May is “My Month of Rain”. In this month tagged “Rain”, I pray
that you will experience rain in Jesus mighty name – Amen! Our prophecy is from Leviticus 26:3-
4: “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them. Then I will give you
rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield
their fruit” and our supporting verse is: “And Elijah said unto Ahab, “Get thee up, eat and drink;
for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” – (1King 18:41). If you have not experienced any
form of rain before now, my God will cause you to experience rain in Jesus mighty name! Amen.
To start, I would like to narrate a very short story shared by a sister few years ago which
coincidentally relates with the prophesy of this month. August 20th, 2019 following her usual daily
routine, she got off from the gym at about 10:10am and the clouds looked very heavy and dark. It
seems like it was going to rain heavily soon. However, prior to leaving home for the gym that
morning, she checked the weather app on her phone and there was no sign of rain. So, she did not
have an umbrella, a raincoat or boot. All she had were her normal gym cloths and bag. She checked
again the weather app on her phone when she set out to leave the gym and she saw that it was
going to rain about 11am. She would be home by then, she thought to herself. So, she left the gym
at 10:10am and the moment she walked for two minutes (since she has to walk for about 10 – 12
minutes to catch her bus), it began to rain. She put on her sweatshirt and tried to walk fast enough
to catch her bus. Consequently, it felt like the windows of heaven just opened and there was a
massive outpour of rain. It was so heavy, she thought she was going to be carried away by the rain.
For about 15 minutes, she walked, ran and stood in the rain till her bus arrived. She was massively
sucked that everything in her bag got wet. Her tennis shoes were sucked with water. Her cloths
stuck to her skin. When she finally got on the bus, she had to stand the entire journey home because
she did not want to get the seats wet. She looked down, and she was dripping badly. Water was
everywhere around the bus and she was the source. She was really wet. Then something dropped
in her spirit man, “The Windows of Heaven”. She prayed her entire way home that the Lord will
open the floodgates of heaven and bless her indeed just like the way she got badly sucked in the
rain. That He will bless her and everywhere she stepped, the blessing will drip like the water
flowing from her body and rub off on everything and everyone around her. That it would be so
evident that no one would be able to deny it or take the glory. This is my prayer for you this
morning.
What is Rain?
Rain is the release of God’s blessing upon mankind, or we can define rain as an abundance of
God’s miracles, signs and wonders that people enjoy from God. As much as rain is useful to human
beings, it could also work against people as explained during my last message. For example, during
the time of Noah, the rain worked against many people who disobeyed and ignored Noah’s
preaching – they all died in the flood. You can cause the rain to work against you if you are not
aligned in the will of God. Please, do not cause the rain to work against you!
How to qualify for this Rain?
- Be born again and be a child of God. John 1:12
- Be diligent and obey God. Deut. 28:1
- Always praise God. 1 Peter 2:9
- Live a life of holiness – Isa. 3:10
- Live a life of obedience – Job 36:11
- Live by the word. Psalm 1:1-4
- Believe in the anointing – Isaiah 10:27
It is important to know that without knowing Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior, it might be
difficult for you to experience this season of rain. You might be in one department or the other but
still struggling in some area of your life or you are far from reaching the goal of your next rain.
You may have repented but not yet broken. You may have been unfaithful in your Christian walk
with God. You may have have lost your mind and desires to the world. Please come back to Him
today, tomorrow may be too late. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you.
As we step into the prophecy of this month of May, be strong and of good courageous. Step into
the prophecy of this month by faith. God is out to bless you more than you can think or imagine.
In this season of “rain”, may the Lord God bless and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon
you and be gracious unto you and lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace in Jesus’
name. Amen.
