You are welcome to the month of November, our month of Set Time. May the Lord set you up with
good news in this month in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank God for the month of October, our
month of Complete Dominion. Thank God for healing, recovery of possessions and uncountable
victories. To Him be all the glory!
Using this opportunity to express my gratitude, I’d like to appreciate all RCCG House of Prayer
family: all ministers, workers, members, and children for the memorable Pastors appreciation
celebration for my wife and I. May the Lord surprise you with a miracle you are trusting Him for
in Jesus’ name – amen. I want to also thank all individuals and families who walked into my office
with a pastor’s appreciation gift. May the Lord bless you in Jesus’ name – amen.
As said earlier, the prophesy for the month of November is “our month of Set Time”. The Bible
says in Psalm 102:13(KJV), “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor
her, yea, the set time, is come.” I prophesy upon you this may your set time come in the name of
Jesus Christ mighty name – amen!
A set time means an appointed time for something to happen. A set time means a turning point in
someone’s life. Before you can experience a set time or turning point, there must be a decision.
The decision you make or refuse to make will determine whether there will be a turning point or
not. A blank check is set before you today, what would you write on it? That is the decision I want
to make as you are seated here today.
Few knowledge about decision:

  • You cannot make progress without making the right decision.
  • Your decision is a candle stick for tomorrow.
  • Your decision yesterday resulted in your current situation.
  • Decision is a sharp knife that cuts clean and straight.
  • Do you know that every decision you make reflects who you are?
  • Our life is about decisions.
  • Someone said, “The quality of our lives is built on the quality of your decisions. Truly, we
    are our decision.
  • You may make decisions starting from zero and end up being successful later in life.
    WHAT IS A DECISION?
Decision action or process of deciding something or of resolving a question. We can also say it is
a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration by a person, family, or organization.
Decisions in our lives are a product of the decision we made yesterday or in the past. Decisions
may be voluntary or involuntary. Do you know that your decision can affect yourself, your parents,
your children (biological or spiritual), your organization, and your generation? Few examples of
decisions every human must make voluntarily or involuntarily are:
  • Where you live.
  • Who you marry.
  • What career path you pursue.
  • The kind of friends you keep.
  • How many offspring you have.
  • How to live your life now and in the future
There are some things in life you have no say over. For example, you do not get pick who your
parents are and what family to be born into. However, you can make decisions on who to serve
and how to serve. Let me ask you a few questions:
  • What is your decision towards God?
  • Is God in your decision?
  • What are the decisions you have made from January to this day? Have they been good?
  • Are the decisions you are about to make good or bad? Godly or ungodly?
  • What is your decision on your debt or the loan you are about to request?
  • Do you know every decision you make may be risky or faith oriented sometimes?
FEW CONSIDERATIONS OF GOOD DECISIONS ARE:
  1. When you seek the Lord in your decision. Prov. 3:5-6
  2. When you listen to the voice of God for direction. Psalms 85:8
  3. When you are not distracted by the news of what people say but what God says. Deut.1:8
  4. When you refuse to please men but God. Gal.1:10
  5. When you make the word of God your daily medication. Psalms 119:105
  6. When you refuse to live in secret sin. Psalms 66:18-20
  7. When you decide to glorify God rather than yourself. Dan. 4:34
  8. When you listen to the leading of Holy Spirit. Gal. 5:16-17
EXAMPLES OF BAD DECISION COULD BE:
  9. When you refuse to accept God as your Maker. Romans 1:28
  10. When you hang around the wrong people. 1 Cor. 15:33-44
  11. When you are going in the wrong direction. Isa.53:6
  12. When your life does not emulate Christ. Gen. 19
  13. When you are now an enemy of God. Romans 5:10
  14. When serving God is problematic to you.
WHO ARE THE PEOPLE WHO MADE GOOD DECISIONS IN THE BIBLE?
  15. Elisha’s uncompromising decision got him to be a great prophet.
  16. Abraham made up his mind to obey God all the way. Gen.12
  17. Noah made a risky decision of engaging in flood mission due to his complete obedience to
    God. Genesis 7
  18. Job made up his mind to listen and follow God despite his spouse’s opinion on his decisionJob. 2:9-10
  19. Esther made a decision that could be refer to as “Things fall apart” where the King’s
second-in-command could not change. Esther 5
  20. Ruth’s decision to follow her mother-in-law when she was faced with depressing and
    gloomy challenges of life.
  21. Joshua and his entire family made up their mind to follow and serve the only living God.
    Joshua 24:15
  22. Jabez made up his mind and decided to call upon the Lord his God despite the family
    stigma and friend bullying.
  23. Jesus Christ made a serious decision to die on the cross to save you and I, so we can be
    free.
WHO ARE THOSE WHO MADE BAD DECISIONS IN THE BIBLE?
  24. Gehazi’s decision to take bribe at the beginning of his ministry led to losing the anointing
    and priesthood.
  25. Samson is another person who made a wrong decision to marry his enemy. Please do not
marry to your enemy. The enemy of Samson who happen to be his only adviser, prayer
partner, thought to be ministry helper ended up leading him to his death.
  26. Judas Iscariot
  27. Jonathan, son of King Saul
  28. Demas make wrong decision of going back to his old life. 2 Tim. 4:10
As we approach the end of 2023, were you able to make good decisions? Do you know making
the right decision can be tricky and difficult sometimes. Making the wrong decision is however
not an option. Friends and family, even in church, will leave you to face the consequences of the
bad decision and carry your own cross. There is no right decision outside of Jesus. Any decision
outside of Jesus can be destructive. Without Jesus, there is no life or better life.
Follow Jesus, today! Elisha followed through, despite discouragement from friends and the sons
of the prophets, higher task from his master Elijah, and going through Gilgal, Bethel, Jericho,
Jordan, and the Chariot of Fire. It paid off in the end. Jesus Christ is our source of turning point
and set time, and He is looking for you today. Come back to Jesus today, tomorrow maybe too late.
Beloved, life can be unfair and sometimes, we can be in trails of terrible decisions. Nevertheless,
God is about to announce you for a turning point and set time into new opportunities that you will
enjoy forever. As we step into the prophecy of this month of November, walk hand in hand with
God to experience a set time. Let Him guide all your decision making and you will enjoy the grace
    and abundance of God.
In this season of Set Time, may the Lord bless and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you
and be gracious unto you and lift His countenance upon you and give you peace in Jesus’ name –
Amen! Welcome to the month of Set Time.
